Coimbatore: On the occasion of National Voters’ Day, an oath-taking ceremony was held at the Corporation head office in Victoria Hall in Townhall today.
The officials took an oath saying "We, the Citizens of India, having abiding faith in democracy, hereby pledge to uphold the democratic traditions of our country and the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections, and to vote in every election fearlessly and without being influenced by considerations of religion, race, caste, community, language or any other inducement.”
Assistant Commissioner (Accounts) Saravanan, Managing Officer M. Nar Ahmed, Probationary Fund Accounting Officer Manikam, Regional Elections Commissioner PD Ganesh Babu and others took part.
