Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, a tempo traveller caught fire in the busy Avinashi road on Monday.
Murugan from the Peelameduputhur area of Coimbatore runs a travels Company. On Monday he was driving his tempo traveler to a workshop in Neelambur to get it repaired.
When his vehicle was passing through Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel College of Textile Technology on Avinashi Road, it caught fire and thick flames of smoke emanated from the vehicle. Seeing this, Murugan stopped the vehicle on the roadside and tried to cut down the wires by opening the bonnet. However, by then the blazing fire intensified and spread through out the vehicle.
Upon information the firefighters reached the spot and doused the fire. Police are investigating the fire accident.
