Coimbatore: The POCSO Court in the District Combined Court Complex here sentenced life imprisonment to Satish Kumar (27) from Semmandampalayam Village near Gobicehttipalayam for sexually abusing a 16-year-old school girl popin 2017.
Coimbatore: The POCSO Court in the District Combined Court Complex here sentenced life imprisonment to Satish Kumar (27) from Semmandampalayam Village near Gobicehttipalayam for sexually abusing a 16-year-old school girl popin 2017.
Satish Kumar who was working in Kunnathoorpudur had followed the minor victim several times and pestered her to marry him. Later, on January 15, 2017 Sathish Kumar abducted her to Odhimalai and sexually abused her.
Based on the complaint by the girl's family, Sathish Kumar was arrested and the Court proceedings were carried out at the Combined District Court complex here.
Today, Justice Radhika pronounced the judgement and ordered life imprisonment along with Rs. 2000 fine to the accused. Following the judgement, he was taken to Coimbatore Central prison.
