Coimbatore: Naveen Kumar of Amman Kulam area in the Ramanathapuram police limits, was stabbed due to a dispute. A gang of three members were involved in a fight with him, leading to the gruesome murder.

Naveen Kumar played Kabbadi with three outside Kabbadi players during a Pongal sports event yesterday. This caused a quarrel between Naveen Kumar and three others, belonging to another local Kabbadi group.
Following a confrontation which turned ugly, Kokki (a) Vijayakumar, his brother Killi (a) Kannan and another unnamed person argued with Naveen Kumar and Vijayakumar stabbed Naveen Kumar repeatedly, using a knife.
The trio escaped from the scene after this. The people present nearby helped Naveen Kumar and he was admitted at the Coimbatore GH. Sadly, he failed to respond to treatment and passed away today at dawn.
The D-1 Ramanathapuram Police have filed a case regarding Naveen Kumar's death. A team led by the Ramanathapuram Police Inspector Murugesan consisting of Sub Inspector Jesis Udayakumar, Chief Constables Anand Kumar, Velu Mayil and Sathyamoorthy arrested the prime accused Kokki (a) Vijayakumar.
Police are on the lookout for Kannan, brother of Vijayakuamr and the third accused.
