Tirupur: Acting on a tip off, the CBI - Salem Zone seized 16,000 litres of illegal brew in 450 cans from a farm in Chinnakanur in the Sevur Police limits, Tirupur belonging to Ganesan.
Tirupur: Acting on a tip off, the CBI - Salem Zone seized 16,000 litres of illegal brew in 450 cans from a farm in Chinnakanur in the Sevur Police limits, Tirupur belonging to Ganesan.
Ganesan had earlier rented out his farm house to some people belonging to Kerala. The tenants had allegedly been illegal bootleggers who had been exporting the illegal brew in white cans to Kerala.
The owner of the house Ganesan has been arrested in this regard and the local police are investigating. A special team has been formed to catch the illegal bootleggers from Kerala and a search is being conducted to nab them.
