According to Police reports, Arvind (22) had offered to drop his neighbour, a 12-year-old girl ate her house while she was returning from a temple procession. However, Arvind had other plans and took the girl to a nearby corn field and tried to misbehave to her. He was joined by Kalidas (26) his accomplice who was already waiting at the corn field. And, the duo attempted to rape the 12-year-old girl.
Hearing the victims cry, the workers from nearby farm rushed to rescue the girl and sent her safely to her parents. Meanwhile, both Arvind and Kalidas escaped from the scene.
Following this a case was filed with the Thudiyalur All Womens Police station. The Police have arrested Arvind and Kalidas and cases have been filed on them under sections 7 and 8 of the POCSO act.
