Coimbatore: More than 2000 people from various Islamic outfits including the United Jamath Convention and other Islam organisations protested in Selvapuram, today to revoke the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Holding the National Flag, the protestors raised slogans against the State and Central Governments for amending the Act. Claiming it to be discriminative, the protestors apprised that they would not rest until CAA, NRC and NPR are revoked.
Citing the resolution passed by Kerala and Punjab governments against CAA, the Muslims urged that Tamil Nadu Governement should also pass a similar resolution in the assembly.
