Coimbatore: A fire broke out in a bakery on Annur Road in the early hours of Monday in which Rs. 3 lakh worth of goods were destroyed. The police are investigating the reason for the fire.

People living on Annur road woke up in the wee hours of Monday to a deafening noise after five LPG cylinders burst in a fire accident in a nearby bakery. By the time the owner of the bakery, Palanisamy arrived the whole bakery was engulfed in thick fumes of smoke. The fire and rescue personnel who were notified of the fire rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
However, the fire had charred the whole place damaging atleast Rs. 3 lakhs of goods, say initial reports.
The police are investigating.
