"If any of you are affected, I will quit my post and fight along with you", he vowed in public. 

Recalling the recent meeting between Chief Minister and Islamic People from Coimbatore, the Minsiter said that CM has given assurance to the representatives of Islamic Associations of their safety and integrity. 

"The AIADMK government as always, will be committed to the well-being and upliftment of minority people", he informed. 

Further, reassuring the people on CAA, he promised that he would quit his post, even if one Muslim from Tamil Nadu undergoes discrimination or being harmed. "I will join protests like you all and fight", he said. 

He alleged that the DMK is trying to instigate sectarianism amongst people who live in unity and requested them to not fall prey to their vote bank politics.

He later, distributed Pongal gift hampers and RS. 1000 cash to the cardholders and wished them all a prosperous harvest festival.
