Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, two people belonging to Irular tribe from Metukkal in Kotagiri were found murdered, today.
Ramachandran and Thimman belonging to Mettukal, an Adivasi Village with less than 20 families in Kotagiri were guarding the crops in their village on Thursday night.
Today morning, the villagers found them dead with their throat slit.
As the area where they were found dead belongs to the forest department with possible naxal movement, the special task force are conducting a combing operation to rule out involvement of maoists.
The police are investigating the murder.
