He inspected the newly opened MCC at Ward No: 44 in Kavundampalayam. The centre was constructed at a cost of Rs.69 lakhs with facilities for converting waste collected from households to organic manure.

The Commissioner later inspected the ongoing construction work of another MCC at Ward No: 1 in Thudiyalur weekly market. He also visited MCC centres at Ward No: 3, Valarmathi Nagar, Thudiyalur, Ward No: 79, Subramaniapuram, South Zone, where work is nearing completion.
In the West Zone construction work for MCC s are underway at Ward No: 24, Thadagam road, Vazhaikkai Mandi road and Arokiasamy road.
Senior Corporation officials including Assistant Commissioners, Senthil kumar Rathinam, A.J. Senthil Arasan and others were also present during this inspection.
