Meeting the people and understanding their needs, the newly sworn in Municipality Commissioner, Pavanraj assured to the residents to look into their pleas and fulfill them at the earliest.
Later, speaking to reporters, Municipality Commissioner, Pavanraj said that basic amenities including sanitation, drinking water will be upgraded in Valparai town. He said that immediate action on grievance petitions filed by the people.
Earlier, the residents of Valparai gave a warm welcome to the newly appointed Commissioner.
Valparai in Coimbatore district was upgraded to a municipality in 2008. Until then, the Panchayat.administration of Valparai was managed by a separate officer.
After being upgraded to municipality, the Municipal Engineer acted as the responsible officer, as the post of Municipal Commissioner was left vacant.
In this scenario, Udumalai Municipality Commissioner has took charge as the Commissioner for Valparai.
