The senior leader was here in Tirupur on Thursday to take part in a meeting. Addressing the press, the 86-year-old Senior leader said "By amending the Citizenship Act, the BJP government has exposed its RSS agenda. Understanding the veracity of CAA, students and activists who questioned the Centre and demanded to repeal the Act have been subjected to brutality by fringe political outfits."
Briefing on the upcoming activities of DK, he announced that DK will take up the case against NEET and the new educational policy, which will affect the students from rural areas. "A ten-day campaign against NEET and the new educational policy will be held starting from Jan 20, 2020", he noted.
Commenting on dual citizenship for Srilankan Tamils, he said that the provision for granting dual citizenship to the Srilankan Tamil people is already provided in the constitution. It is the responsibility of the State government to pressurize the central government to use the power that lies at their disposal.
