Addressing the media, the senior CPI (M) leader slammed the AIADMK government for standing in support with the BJP for all their anti-people policies. "The State government which should be voicing for its people's welfare and livelihood has turned deaf ears. By supporting the Centre's bad economic, people and labour policies, the AIADMK is harming the people in Tamil Nadu which is a shame", he added.
He also note that protests will see no end, if the centre continues to putforth anti-people policies.
Following the press meet, a march was held from the Tirupur Kumaran memorial to the Central Post Office. State Secretary of CPI (M), K Balakrishnan and 500 other trade union members were arrested.
