Coimbatore: The Ukkadam bus stand wore a desolate look, due to the nation-wide bandh announced today. All 27 buses from Coimbatore to Kerala were halted at the depot.
"The Transport Corporation operates 18 buses from Coimbatore's Ukkadam bus station to Kerala. There are 9 buses operated by the private. Today, all 27 buses have been cancelled due to security issues on bandh day", said a transport officer.
The passengers turned disappointed as they had to make alternate transport arrangements. However, 90% of TNSTC buses are operational in the city, today.
