Tirupur: A resolution was passed at the meeting of Islamic Associations in Tirupur condemning the AIADMK government for voting for CAA and to demand repeal of the Citizenship Amendment Bill. Sirajulal Islam Masjid and Madrasa organised a meeting to condemn the CAA at Noyyal Street in Tirupur.
Tirupur: A resolution was passed at the meeting of Islamic Associations in Tirupur condemning the AIADMK government for voting for CAA and to demand repeal of the Citizenship Amendment Bill. Sirajul Islam Shafi Masjid and Madrasa organised a meeting to condemn the CAA at Noyyal Street in Tirupur.
In the meeting, they passed a resolution to demand the Central Government to withdraw the Citizenship Amendment Bill immediately, as well as condemning the AIADMK government, which voted in favour of the Act. Further, a resolution was passed demanding to reprimand the police for arresting Nellai Kannan in a bad manner and withdrawing the cases filed against him.
DMK spokesperson Tamilan Prasanna who participated in this meeting said, "BJP continues to violate the constitution. The student community will stand against the fascist attack on the JNU students. DMK and all the democratic parties will support the cause."
