Forest officials rescue bear trapped in wire fence at Valparai

Coimbatore: The forest officials from Valparai rescued a bear which got trapped in a barbed wire at a coffee estate in Old Valparai on Monday.

Coimbatore: The forest officials from Valparai rescued a bear which got trapped in a barbed wire at a coffee estate in Old Valparai on Monday. 

Upon information from the tea estate workers, the forest staff rushed to rescue the bear which was in a restless state and was partially stuck in the barbed fencing wire. 



The forest staff set up a temporary wooden fence in the area and then cut the barbed wires. After the wires were cut, the bear escaped from the spot and left into the forest area. 

Animal activists and the public appreciated the forest staff for carefully handling the rescue operation.
