Coimbatore: Condemning the Centre for amending the Citizenship Act, the members of Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK), Manitha Neya Makkal Katchi, VCK, DMK, AMMK held a march in Valparai, Coimbatore district on Sunday.

TMMK Council Chairman, Sabir presided over the protest held at the old bus stand in Valparai. The protestors held banners and raised slogans against the central government. Several policemen under the head of DSP Vivekanandan were deployed for security.
South District Head, Kapoor, VCK, Secretary Veeramani, DMK Labour Union LPF Leader Soundarapandian, DMK District Secretary, Pal Paandi, District Congress Secretary Kusalavan, AMMK District Secretary Nellai Selvam, Kunjali, INTUC C. Karuppaiah, Manithneya Makkal Katchi leader and 300 other participated in the protest.
