In addition, the report also mentions the recent involvement of such a person and the legal action taken against him by the cybercrime department.
Upon surveillance of various social media pages, it was found that Renda Basumadari (28) had posted pornographic images of children on his page.
Upon tracking the individual, it was found that he was working in a tiles shop in Pollachi. A written complaint was lodged with the Pollachi All Women Police Station by the Cybercrime department from Coimbatore.
The All Women's police arrested the man at his work place. After his arrest, the police retrieved his mobile phone and found several pornographic images, including child pornography videos.
Subsequently, the Pollachi All Women Police filed a case against him (Crime Number: 01/2020 ) under the sections 13,14 (1), 15 of the POCSO ACT 2012 r / w IT Act.
Investigations revealed that the person hailed from Assam and his father's name was Pergo Basumadari. He also confessed on his lust for watching child pornography and has sent several such contents to his friends through Facebook messenger.
In the release, SP Sujit Kumar has informed that information is being collected on those who hold pornographic photos and videos related to such children and post them on social media. "Soon, they will be prosecuted”, warned SP Sujit Kumar.
