Lawyer Sivakumar who represented Valyar Manoj claimed that his father Cherugoran (67) passed away in Thrissur, two days ago. As Manoj is the oy son, he appealed the Justice to grant him bail to perform the last rites for his father.
Judge Vadamalai, who heard the bail plea granted four days interim bail to Valayar Manoj and ordered to present him before the court on January 7, 2020.
Manoj who is in the Coimbatore Central Prison is expected to be out on bail on Saturday morning. The hearing of Kodanad murder case will be held as usual on January 4, 2020, without any change, the Justice said.
The District Sessions Court in Ooty framed charges against 10 accused -Walayar Manoj, Sayan, Santhosh, Deepu, Satheesan, Udhayakumar, Jithin Joy, Jamsheer Ali, Manoj Sami and Bijin Kutty in the Kodanad dacoity-cum-murder case.
Among them, Sayan and Walayar Manoj are regarded to be the prime accused.
