Coimbatore: Twin brothers - Surendran and Vikram who competed as independent candidates are now a part of the newly-elected ward members in the recently held rural local polls in Mettupalayam Panchayat. The locals have been celebrating their victory.
Brothers Surendran and Vikram, two members of the Vellapalayam Panchayat has won as ward members in the same panchayat by contesting as independent candidates.
Surendran has won the election in Ward No: 4 in the Pallepalayam panchayat. Meanwhile, his twin brother Vikram, who contested in Ward No:10 in the same panchayat, has also won.
The twin brothers who contested in two different areas have now won and are ready to serve together. The people of the area celebrated their victory by distributing sweets.
