Coimbatore: While the entire city was buzzing with New Year celebrations, hundreds of people belonging to Islamic community took the opportunity to raise their condemnation against the citizenship amendment act and NRC.

Holding candles and national flag, the Muslims including women and children from Kottamedu, Ukkadam, Town hall, Kuniyamuthur, Marakadai and other areas gathered in large numbers at 11:30 pm near Ukkadam bus stand from where they began marching towards Town Hall.
They raised slogans against the centre and state government for passing an act to discriminate the minorities. The peaceful march ended at 12 AM at town hall.
