Coimbatore: Exercising his franchise at the second phase of local body polls held here Founder of Isha Yoga Center, Jaggi Vasudev asked the voters to make use of the elections to choose the right candidate.
After casting his vote at Tribal Welfare Residential High School at Muttathuvayal in Thondamuthur Union, he opined that people are unaware of the importance of Panchayat elections and its important that people of every Panchayat chose the right candidate.
"This is one of the most important elections in the country. A Panchayat administration is equivalent to a small Parliament. The problems faced by the villagers abd redressal can br achieved, if there is proper representation", he said.
He added that people must believe in the system and should cast their votes to the candidates who they believe, will uphold the trust of the people and work responsibly, for them.
"Importantly, religion, caste or political affiliation should not waver the voter's decision when choosing the right candidate, people should vote wisely", he said.
