The protest was held at the entrance of the Valparai Transport Corporation Workshop, chaired by Secretary Siva and Kanagaraj. Several employees participated and raised slogans against the State Government.

Several employees participated and raised slogans against the State Government.
Demonstrators chanted to promptly start the 16th pay contract negotiations, issuing Arrears of Rs. 6,000 and not selling the PSUs to the private sector. "Government should stop privatisation and disinvestment of PSUs, instead should find ways to revive sick PSUs," they demanded.
More than 50 workers from the LPF union participated in the demonstration.
