Coimbatore: The Southern Railways has introduced the Memo Train from Coimbatore Mettupalayam in November to modernize the train service. The daily train from Coimbatore to Mettupalayam was operated with 11 compartments. The train, which operates more than eight times a day from morning to evening, takes more than 50,000 people a day for school, college, work, hospital and other needs.

The daily train from Coimbatore to Mettupalayam was operated with 11 compartments. The train, which operates more than eight times a day from morning to evening, takes more than 50,000 people a day for school, college, work, hospital and other needs.
The Salem Railway Division announced that MEMU train operating on the Mettupalayam-Coimbatore railway line has been cancelled for two days on 28th and 29th due to maintenance work.
This stoppage will not affect the Nilgiris express train from Mettupalayam to Chennai and it will operate as usual from 7.40 pm.
