Eight months after death, relatives demand action against govt. doctors for alleged negligence

Tirupur: Alleging medical negligence, relatives of a deceased woman in Tirupur who died eight months back staged a protest demanding action against the doctors at Tirupur Government Hospital.

According to reports, Arunadevi (24) was admitted at the Tirupur GH for delivery on April 12, 2019. She a delivered on the next day. As the baby reportedly was diagnosed with jaundice, the baby was was kept in an incubator for eight days and later discharged. 

On April 24, Arunadevi was re-admitted to the same hospital for fever. It is alleged that her condition worsened as the doctors and nurses did not attend to her. As her health worsened, the doctors advised to shift her to Coimbatore GH, for further treatment. However, Arunadevi passed away at Coimbatore GH. 



Eight months after he death, Arunadevi's relatives laid seige in front of the Tirupur GH demanding legal action on the doctors.
