Chennai: Marching along with the leaders of various political parties against the proposed Citizenship Amendment Act and National Register of Citizens (CAA,NRC), DMK Chief and Leader of the Opposition M.K. Stalin said that they would continue to mount pressure on the Centre with relentless protests until they revoke CAA and NRC.

Talking at the end of the two km rally from near Thalamuthu Natarasar Maligai in Egmore upto Rajarathinam Stadium via Pudupet, Stalin said that he would discuss with leaders of his allegiance and take the protests forward.
He also invited general public and students to participate in the agitations against CAA and NRC proposed by the ruling BJP.
Earlier Stalin lead the march, in which more than a lakh participated.
Opposition leaders including former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, State Head of Indian National Congress K.S. Azhagari, K. Veeramani from Dravidar Kazhagam, MDMK Cheif Vaiko, G. Balakrishnan from CPI(M), R. Mutharasan from CPI, VCK Chief Thol Thiramavalavan, KMDK Chief E.R. Eswaran, MMK Chief M.H. Jawahirulla and others participated in the rally.
Throughout the rally, slogans against both the State and Central Government were raised as they supported the bills. The members also came down heavily on the PMK leaders for joining in favour of the proposed bills.
