Tirupur: Tirupur District Collector, K. Vijayakarthikeyan released the draft electoral poll on Monday for the eight assembly constituencies in Tirupur. As per the draft voters roll, there are 11,17,950 male voters, 11,31,445 female voters and 255 transgender voters.
Tirupur: Tirupur District Collector, K. Vijayakarthikeyan released the draft electoral poll on Monday for the eight assembly constituencies in Tirupur. As per the draft voters roll, there are 11,17,950 male voters, 11,31,445 female voters and 255 transgender voters.
The draft electoral roll was released in the District Collectorate in the presence of authorised representatives of political parties.
The district has a total of 2484 polling booths and a total of 22,49,650 voters. Compared to male voters, there are more female voters in the district. Women voters in Tirupur district have outnumbered men by 13,495.
The final voter list will be released on February 14, 2020. Earlier, the District Collector inaugurated a model polling booth at the District Collectorate.
