Any, corrections like name/address change, age etc., can be carried out from December 23 to January, 22, 2020. The final voters list will be published on Feb 14, 2020" said District Collector K. Rajamani here on Monday.

Releasing the draft voters list for the 10 assembly constituencies of Coimbatore district, the Collector said that "As per the draft voters list there are 14,48,031male voters, 14,75,461 female voters and 345
transgender voters. The total voters in the district is 29,23,837."
He added that applicants can get online Voter ID from E-Seva centers.
Commenting on the upcoming rural body elections, the Collector said "No unauthorised cash has been confiscated anywhere in Coimbatore and additional security has been provided at all sensitive polling booths."
He noted that cases of sticking posters on house walls have been reported and the concerned officials have been advised to check on it.
Authorised representatives of various political parties and officials were present during the release of the draft electoral roll.
