He added that stringent measures are being taken to conduct free and fair rural local body elections at Tirupur district.
Out of the 9025 nominations filed, nominations of 7042 candidates are accepted for various rural posts in Tirupur district.
Under the supervision of the District Collector and other election officers, the election staff are segregating and sorting elections slips required for vote registration at the District Collectorate.
