Coimbatore: Student agitation against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has gained momentum across the country especially after the police crackdown on students in New Delhi and Assam.

Condemning the violence unleashed against students of Jamia Millia University and Aligarh Muslim University, Government Law College students expressed full solidarity with their counterparts across Indian universities who are protesting against the recent passing of CAA which they termed as "the unconstitutional and discriminatory".
Boycotting the classes, they staged an demonstration on Thursday in front of their campus to withdraw CAA.
The students demanded to hold a high level probe and judicial enquiry against those who used violence and pursued unlawful and reckless tactics against students who were protesting in a peaceful manner.

The law students held placards and raised slogans against the centre.
