A protest condemning CAA was organised on behalf of Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamaat in front of the Tirupur Corporation. The protestors raised slogans against the centre for passing the Citizenship Act by discriminating Muslims and Tamil Eelams.
The protestors jointly alleged that the BJP government is trying to transform this democratic nation into a Hindutva country.
"While the entire nation is against this bill, the ruling AIADMK Governement has supported the bill drafted by the fascist BJP government. The AIADMK government which has betrayed the people of Tamil Nadu will be made to taste defeat in the upcoming 2021 State assembly elections", said Sulaiman.
All Jamaats and Islamic organisations here have called for a district-wide Black flag protest against CAA on December 20 along with closure of shops, on the day.
