Coimbatore: Joining the bandwagon of protests against the recently passed Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), over 500 students of PSG College of Arts and Science (PSG CAS) staged a sit-in protest in the college demanding action against the police who unleashed violence on the students.
Coimbatore: Joining the bandwagon of protests against the recently passed Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), over 500 students of PSG College of Arts and Science (PSG CAS) staged a sit-in protest in the college demanding action against the police who unleashed violence on the students.

The students held placards and raised slogans against the violence meted out on students and demanded legal action on the cops who brutally thrashed students during protests held at New Delhi and other parts of North India against CAA.

The students also alleged that CAA is against the democratic principles of this nation and the government should revoke the act with immediate effect.
Security was beefed up near the College, as Governor of Tamil Nadu was enroute from the airport to attend convocation at Bharathiar University.
