Two more elephants join Rejuvenation camp in MTP

Coimbatore: Joining their 26 cousins from various temples in Tamil Nadu, two elephants from Pondicherry joined the elephant rejuvenation camp at Thekkampatti in Mettupalayam today.

Coimbatore: Joining their 26 cousins from various temples in Tamil Nadu, two elephants from Pondicherry joined the elephant rejuvenation camp at Thekkampatti in Mettupalayam today.



Prakruti and Latchumi, the elephants from Thirunallaru Sri Dharbaranyeshwarar Devasthana temple and Manakkula Vinayagar Temple could not join earlier, due to transport issues. 



Though it was announced that 28 elephants would take part in the 12th rejuvenation camp that was flagged off on December 15, only 26 elephants have been participating in the camp, till date. 

Prakruti and Latchumi, elephants were welcomed by HR&CE officials by offering fruits.
