Coimbatore: The Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) passed in the Parliament recently, has incited protests all over the country. The Bill that is alleged to be discriminatory has caused a great deal of unrest in the nation, especially in northern parts of India.

The District DMK cadres staged a protest in Tatabad near Sivananda Colony, here against CAB and condemned the Central and State Governments for being partial and discriminative against Muslims and Eelam Tamil's.

Leading the protest Singanallur DMK MLA N. Karthik slammed, "By expressing support for the CAB proposed by the Central government, the AIADMK has betrayed the Muslims and the Eelam Tamil's. We will continue to protest until this bill is revoked."

More than 500 DMK cadres took part in the protest. Similar protests were held by DMK across all districts in Tamil Nadu.
