Coimbatore: A bus conductor and driver of a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) were awarded for their integrity, after they spotted a bag containing cash misplaced by a passenger and handed over the same to the officials.
Coimbatore: A bus conductor and driver of a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) were awarded for their integrity, after they spotted a bag containing cash misplaced by a passenger and handed over the same to the officials.
On December 11, conductor, R. Veeramuthu, and bus driver V. Anandan, of a TNSTC bus enroute from Pollachi to Coimbatore found a unclaimed bag with cash in the back seat of the bus.
Without second thoughts, they quickly picked it up and handed it over to the police.
Later, it was found that Karthikeyan from Pollachi had missed the cash in the bus. The cash bag was promptly returned to him.
"The honest act by the driver and conductor has made the department proud", commenced a Senior Official from the TNSTC, Coimbatore branch.
Today, Veeramuthu and Anandan were were felicitated and rewarded by the Managing Director of TNSTC, Coimbatore.
