Coimbatore: Around 15 members of Bharath Sena were arrested here on Monday for waving black flags against Thozh Thirumavalavan, President of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK).
The VCK President was here in the city to participate in a protest demanding action in the Mettupalayam wall collapse case, which killed 17 people on December 2 in Nadur in Mettupalayam of Coimbatore district.
Condemning his visit, the members of Bharath Sena members gathered near Pappanaickenpalayam here to protest and waved black flags.
"In various occasions, Thirumavalavan has passed derogatory comments on Hindu Gods and hurt the religious sentiments of Hindu people", the protestors said.
Later, all protestors were arrested.
