Coimbatore: A lone elephant that has camped in a private tea estate near new bus stand in Valparai has panicked the workers, who have requested the foresters to drive away the elephant which has been causing severe damage to farmlands, recently.
Coimbatore: A lone elephant that has camped in a private tea estate near new bus stand in Valparai has panicked the workers, who have requested the foresters to drive away the elephant which has been causing severe damage to farmlands, recently.

On Sunday, the lone elephant strayed into a banana farm behind Municipality tourist guest house near new bus stand. Hearing the elephant rampage the crops, the staff at the guest house chased the lone elephant using fire crackers. After a couple of hours, the elephant left the farm and camped in at Stanmore tea estate.
The estate workers who went to work this morning boycotted work as the elephant was standing in the middle of the tea estate.
