Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) in a release has stated that the collection from the special buses operated between Coimbatore district and Tiruvannamalai for Karthigai Deepam this year amounts to Rs. 28 lakhs, which is RS. 6 lakhs higher than last year.

In view of the Karthigai Deepam festivity which is celebrated in a traditional and grandeur way in Tiruvannamalai, the TNSTC had introduced 2615 special buses between December 10-12 from.various districts including Coimbatore.
Around 125 trips from Coimbatore, Erode, Ooty and Tirupur were operated to Tiruvannamalai and an amount of RS. 28 lakh has been collected, a release said.
