Demanding legal action on Chandran, the farm owner, the enraged relatives denied to collect the bodies. For more than two hours, they laid siege in front of the mortuary. Later, the police pacified them and assured of action on the farm owner.
The relatives then collected the bodies and dispersed.
Incident
Three labourers working in a farm in Athikkal village in the Nilgiris district were reported dead after they stepped on a snapped wire on Saturday.

According to police reports, Maniamma, Balan and Kumar were working in a farm in Athikkal Village. On Saturday, all three accidentally were electrocuted after a snapped wire fell on the fencing on which they were leaning.

All bodies were recovered and sent to post mortem. The Police are investigating. The death of three people due to electrocution has brought shock waves among the villagers.
