Coimbatore: One man lost his life after a speeding private bus rammed into an Omni van near Karamadai on Mettupalayam road on Saturday afternoon.
Coimbatore: One man lost his life after a speeding private bus rammed into an Omni van near Karamadai on Mettupalayam road on Saturday afternoon.
According to initial reports, a family of four from Karamadai were enroute to Coimbatore in an Omni van. While they are crossing the bridge near Karamadai, a Private bus 'Rajam' which was allegedly speeding from the opposite side rammed into the Omni van killing the man behind the wheels on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh and the injured - Hemalatha, Reshma, Sasikumar are admitted in a private hospital for treatment.
The driver of the private bus, Krishnakumar has reportedly escaped from the spot. The Karamadai police have filed a case and are investigating.
