Coimbatore: A 11th standard student of Kendriya Vidyalaya School in Sulur, Coimbatore has accused the Principal and teachers of the school for torturing him. He is now admitted in the Government Hospital, Coimbatore for treatment.
Coimbatore: The parent of a 11th standard student of Kendriya Vidyalaya School in Sulur, Coimbatore has accused the Principal and teachers of the school for torturing their ward. The students are now admitted in the Government Hospital, Coimbatore for treatment.
Kam Ram Singh from Bihar is employed at the Sulur Air Base on Trichy Road, Coimbatore. His sons study at the Kendriya Vidyalaya School in the same area in class 11 in class 9.
"Citing that the students were being naughty and that they used mobile phones during school hours, the Principal and teachers of the school had apparently inflicted torture on them, physically and mentally", the mother of the students told.
Speaking about the incident Seema Kumari, the mother said, "Yesterday, my elder son was tortured in the achool. He was made to take off his pants and was hit on his bottom. He had to undergone immense torture by the school. We have hospitalized him to help him with the pain. Further, both my sons were tortured mentally and physically by the Principal and the teachers."
She further lamented, "The boys have been in an inconsolable state, inspite of many reassurances.They have been continuously punished for a small mistake that they had committed. They have even written apology letters and have behaved since then."
Seema Kumari also complained, that "Despite continuous complaints about the incidents to the school management, no action was taken. Similarly, no action was initiated even after escalating the issue to the Office of the District Superintendent of Police."
The aggrieved mother also stated that she is unable to handle the issue as she knows only to speak Hindi.
Briefing on the alleged torture, the the 11th standard student said, "Yesterday, Principal Meghanathan walked me out of class and took me to a private room. Also, teachers Tamizharasi and Divya held my hands and the Principal pulled my pants off and injured my back."
"This caused a great deal of pain. Though, I wish to pursue my education at the school peacefully, the Principal and the teachers inflict a great deal of mental and physical torture on us. I need justice", he pleaded tearfully.
