Coimbatore: Special prayers, charity and distribution of sweets marked the 56th birthday celebrations of TTV Dhinakaran, General Secretary of Amma Makkal Munnetra Kalagam (AMMK) in Valparai, today.
The celebrations was spear headed by Nellai Selvam, District Secretary of AMMK. The cadres distributed milk, fruits and bread to the patients at Valparai government hospital.
The party cadres were overjoyed as the recent announcement from TTV Dhinakaran confirmed his party's participation in the upcoming local body polls.
"Even if we don't get a symbol, we will contest the local body elections in all positions,” TTV Dhinakaran told reporters at Tirunelveli on Monday.
