Coimbatore: District Collector K. Rajamani, has announced that filing of nominations for the upcoming local body elections can be done on this Saturday, December 14, 2018 also.
Coimbatore: District Collector K. Rajamani, has announced that filing of nominations for the upcoming local body elections can be done on this Saturday, December 14, 2018 also.
In a release, he confirmed that though this December 14 falls on second Saturday, nominations can be filed for the posts of District Panchayat Ward member, Panchayat Union Council Ward member, Village Panchayat President and Village Panchayat Ward member.
"The TN State Election Commission has scheduled and sent out notifications for conducting local body elections in two stages December 27 and 30. Filing of nominations commenced from December 9. The last date for filing nominations is 16.12.2019", he notified.
In this scenario, the Collector has apprised that as December 14 is not a public holiday, all officers assigned for election duty are advised to work on Saturday.
