Tirupur: Over 150 families in Anaippalayam area in Tirupur district have alleged the City Corporation for planning to lay a road connecting the recently built compost yard by trespassing their burial ground.
The residents have stated that earlier, upon request by the Corporation they agreed to forego a part of their burial ground for building a compost yard.
"Recently, the Corporation has been planning to lay a road leading to the compost yard, on the other half of our burial yard. If the road is laid, there will be nothing remaining. The entire burial ground would be taken by the Corporation ", they lamented.

The irked residents entered into an argument with the officials who visited the spot to plan for the road. Later, the officials pacified the people by promising to use only a small part of their space for laying road. The protesting residents consented and dispersed from the place.
