Coimbatore: Police arrested three people for trying to exchange counterfeit notes at a shop at Singanallur on Thursday.
Upon complaint by a Chips shop owner in Singanallur, the Police arrested Russell Francis (28), Elvis Francis (23) and Bhaskar (35). All three accused are repeat offenders and have been booked under counterfeit and theft cases in the past, the Police said.
The police confiscated two 500 rupee banknotes and produced them in Court and remanded them in central jail, here.
