Coimbatore: Upon orders from the District Administration, the remains of the 20-foot-tall alleged 'untouchability' wall that claimed the lives of 17 people in Nadur area in Mettupalayam was demolished on Thursday.
Coimbatore: Upon orders from the District Administration, the remains of the 20-foot-tall alleged 'untouchability' wall that claimed the lives of 17 people in Nadur area in Mettupalayam was demolished on Thursday.

Officials from Revenue deparment and Municipality led by Divisional Officer, Suresh Kumar supervised the demolition work which was carried out using two JCBs.
Meanwhile, the public in the area demanded the officials to demolish another wall in the same area which pose similar threat.
