Coimbatore: In a tragic accident, a 10-year-old boy died on Wednesday when he was playing with a dupatta which accidentally wrapped around his neck and strangulated him to death, the police confirmed.
Coimbatore: In a tragic accident, a 10-year-old boy died on Wednesday when he was playing with a dupatta which accidentally wrapped around his neck and strangulated him to death, the police confirmed.
The accident occurred at his home.
In GM Nagar area in Ukkadam, here. The boy, who was identified as Kaja Hussain (10), son of Sadakathullah, was playing alone without supervision.
His elder sister who was at home was cleaning the house while Kaja was reportedly playing with a dupatta which was tied to the window of his room. Accidentally, he wrapped it around his neck and collapsed.
He was rushed to government hospital by the neighbours, however the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The Ukkadam Police visited the house where they found that the dupatta that caused the boy's death.
