In the chaos, the Bank Manager also gets thrashed by the man who later escaped from the bank by threatening the security guard and customers with a knife and pistol.

According to police reports, upon promise of securing a loan, Vetrivelan had paid Rs. 3 lakhs as commission to Gunabala, a loan agent. However, it is alleged that Gunabala did not meet his timelines and delayed the process.
Infuriated by the delays, Vetribalan had repeatedly been following up with the agent to close the deal. On Tuesday, Vetribalan spotted Gunabala entering into Canara bank at Ramanthapuram here.
He followed him to the bank and saw him speaking to the Branch Manager, Chandrasekaran. In a fit of rage, Vetrivelan rushed into the Manager's cabin and assaulted the agent. The Manager who tried to stop him was also attacked by him.
Shocked by the assault, the customers and the guards at the bank tried to stop him but Vetrivelan threatened them with a knife and a pistol. He later escaped from the spot.
After scrutinising the CCTV footages, the race course police arrested Vetrivelan and booked him under three sections. Presently, the video footage has been doing rounds in social media.
