The Nilgiris: After sight seeing was closed for a day, the tourists are now allowed to visit Lamb's Rock and Dolphin Nose in the Nilgiris.

The Nilgiris: After sight seeing was closed for a day, the tourists are now allowed to visit Lamb's Rock and Dolphin Nose in the Nilgiris.

Keeping in mind the prevailing weather conditions and multiple landslides in Ooty and Coonoor, as matter of precaution, the forest department had close entry to the Lamb's Rock and Dolphin Nose in the Nilgiris on Tuesday.

A notice board indicating the temporary closure of the view points left the tourists disappointed. The tourists were warned that vehicles would be confiscated and cases would be filed under the Forest Act, if they were found breaching the ban.

However, as the rains have subsided, the forest department have lifted the temporary closure at Lamb's Rock and Dolphins Nose.

"The spectacular view of Catherine falls from Dolphin's Nose is a sight to cherish. With rains lashing the town, the cascading waterfalls is breathtaking", stated a tourist from Dolphin's Nose in Coonoor.
